MCD LAUNCHES THE PUBLIC GRIEVANCE &
REDRESSAL APPLICATION DEVELOPED BY EGOVERNMENTS FOUNDATION
The Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dixit will launch
the Online Public Grievance & Redressal Application developed by
eGovernments Foundation on March 10th, 2005. This application will enable Delhi Citizens to register
complaints with the MCD and track the redressal of
the complaint.
Salient features of the PGR system:

Number – to track and monitor complaint

Auto Routing of
Complaints – to the appropriate MCD official based on Zone, Ward and
Complaint-Type of Grievance.

View reports of complaints by departments or wards.
Within a department, view the breakup of complaints by category in
user-friendly Pie-Charts & GIS Reports

the Redressal officer to update the complaint status and forward complaints
This is the first launch of
a series of Municipal eGovernance applications that eGovernments Foundation is
developing for The Municipal
Corporation of Delhi. The key objective is to streamline the municipal systems through Govt.
process reengineering and use of IT tools and technologies to bring in
administrative efficiencies and information transparency, which in turn leads to accountability and the smoother delivery of services
to the citizens of Delhi. Over 2005-06, the following applications are expected to be launched:

Software System for use in Cities/Towns all across India - for Free. The Foundation is a
registered not-for-profit trust that aims to improve Governance in India through effective use of technologies and Govt.

eGovernments Foundation has developed an Enterprise class eGovernance Platform that can scale to

J2EE/Java backend architecture.
Currently, the eGovernments
Foundation works in 58 cities of Karnataka. The eGov Property Tax Application powers the
city of Bangalore and has collected over Rs.250 crores
in property taxes. eGovernments Foundation is now
deploying its Software Applications in 57 of the largest cities of Karnataka
including Property Tax Collection, Ward Works, Financial Accounting, Water Tax,
Public Grievance, Trade Licenses and a well integrated GIS application. Several
states have shown keen interest in adopting the Municipal eGovernance modules
offered by the eGovernments Foundation.
